Last Tuesday the Primary School string orchestra performed some of the many pieces from their growing repertoire in an informal concert for parents and friends. The students from Years 4, 5, 3º and 4º ano demonstrated their newly acquired ensemble skills and some had the opportunity to show off their soloistic talents. It is wonderful to see so many of our younger students keeping the orchestral tradition at St. Julian’s alive. Thank you to all our students for working so hard throughout the year… it was a lovely concert.
On Wednesday another string concert was held in the Primary school, this time with all students performing solos. This was the first public performance for many of our students and they all played with confidence and ease. There was a wide range of ability, with some students only having been learning for two months.
Congratulations to all involved, and a huge thank you to Karolina Andrês for organising these concerts.
