Y8 Game Development Award 2020

Every year Y8 students work on a big project, which is the final project of our Game development Unit. Within this project, students showcase their understanding of the coding and computational thinking concepts we cover in class by developing their own game and their creativity and dedication. After students finish developing their game, we ask them to play and evaluate (vote for) the games. In the end, we always have a winner, a second and third place.

Last year our Game Development project had its special edition because of COVID. As a result, students had to work more independently on their game, making them face some new challenges. However, many students could overcome them and developed fantastic games.

Now that we are back again, we could celebrate last year's successes and the fantastic achievements of students who placed. They are:

1st place: Laura Correia - 9CWS

2nd place: Luz Mello - 9KM

3rd place: John Reis - 9CWS

Congratulations to all of them for the amazing games they developed.
