St Julian’s “Activity Days” celebration is an absolute success
On the 7th and 8th of June students in Years 7,8,9 and 10, 6º e 7º anos took part in a range of activities. The purpose of the days was to provide the students with an opportunity to challenge themselves, work within their year group and ultimately have fun. The activities ranged from offsite activities where students visited Quantum Park and travelled up by coach to Constância to kayak along the River Zêzere to Castelo de Almourol. Students also visited the city of Óbidos where they took part in a challenge to conquer the city and visited the Lagoa de Óbidos to canoe and stand-up paddle.
Students also had an opportunity to get involved in many onsite activities run by departments and Year teams. With Creative Arts and Music performances taking place in school and nearby at Nova School of Business and Economics. Our Maths Team Challenge and English Poetry Olympics had students in years 8 and 10 testing their knowledge and fitness. A range of expert speakers attended the Year Student Futures talk providing valuable advice and expertise and the Physical Education and Outdoor Education departments ran some excellent team-building opportunities.
We very much hope the students felt the two days were valuable and fun and a huge thank you to everyone who made the day's so special and truly remarkable.
