Are we in line with technological best practices for Education?
It was a pleasure to represent St. Julian’s School at this year’s EduTech Europe conference as part of a discussion panel with other educational leaders from Europe.
There were some incredible keynote sessions during the conference with insightful presentations and discussions by educators and industry leaders, including Maria João Horta, Deputy Director General of Education from the Portuguese Ministry of Education. Alongside this were many technology demos and showcases of EdTech implementations in schools and universities.
The event was also a great opportunity to network with other key professionals in educational leadership to make connections to ensure St. Julian’s is collaborating and developing in line with the best global educational technology practices. It is also reassuring to see that our technology provision, training and integration are at the forefront of current practices.
Of particular interest to parents was a presentation from Dr Sandra Leaton Gray an applied sociology of education specialist with an interest in the morals and ethics surrounding the use of new technologies in education. During her presentation, she discussed her book Digital Children: A guide for adults, which may be of interest to parents wishing to navigate the digital challenges of children.
