Y2 Discovers the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake
In Year 2, the children have recently been through an exciting experience! When the children returned to their classrooms after lunchtime, there had been a catastrophic event! The classrooms were utterly destroyed, with tables and chairs everywhere. There were old artefacts such as candlesticks, old paintings and pots that gave the children clues as to what might have happened. From this, the children were able to figure out their new topic for this half term - the Lisbon earthquake of 1755. The children will use this as a starting point for topic work and English work. Keep an eye out for some thrilling diary entries as
a survivor of the earthquake!
