We began secondary school at St Julian’s together. I remember writing to your parents - to whom I taught Y7 Science. In one of our first Science lessons, Mr Monaghan came to observe the lesson. He quickly spotted how energetic and full of life you are, and that has never changed. All of you were so sweet, with your bright faces looking for inspiration and approval. How you have grown!

Watching you change and become fun, open and interesting young adults has been such a privilege. Over the last two years, I have got to know you all, and this has been such a pleasure. Even on the days when there have been hardships, there has always been something bright. We have certainly had challenges along the way, but as you approach the last few weeks of life at St. Julian’s, all of you are moving in the right direction.

IAs are done, TOK and EEs are done, CAS is (almost) done, and lots of revision is done. You are planning your graduation holidays, your Yearbook and your hoodie. University offers are coming in, and new adventures await you.

I would like to thank your parents and guardians, your mentors, your tutors and your teachers, and all of you for supporting and encouraging you and each other throughout your schooling, especially in these last two years.

I am so proud of what you have achieved and accomplished. It is with lots of emotion that I wish you every happiness. Over the last few weeks, keep going, keep looking out for each other and keep dancing.

I will miss you very much.

Mrs Jo Stedman
Head of Y13 2023
