Celebrating our Y13s Last Day at School
What an amazing last day to celebrate education at St Julian’s School. Assembly started with some tears and finished with absolute sobbing as the students realised their final day at school was here. Videos were played, demonstrating the happy memories of a journey through our school. Many of the students have spent so much of their lives immersed in the care and learning within these walls. The students showed love and gratitude to each other and to the staff, who have dedicated themselves to helping and inspiring strong and positive values.
Year 13 rose to the occasion, dressed in their formal uniform, and the Palácio steps provided the perfect backdrop to selfie after selfie in capturing this moment. It was then time to enjoy some traditional ‘primary school games’ and icecreams in the sun before the climax of the day. A fantastic pre-water fight performance was given as the Year 13 launched into dance routines which had been rehearsed with much merriment. Seeing all of them on the Astro, in unison, with huge smiles on their faces, made me overflow with pride.
I will never forget such a perfect finale to a wonderful two years as their Head of the Year.
