Each year St. Julian’s gives two types of awards to students who have demonstrated outstanding levels of achievement and engagement. The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the contribution of students to the life of the school and to nurture talent. The Academic Scholar Award is given to five students who have excelled academically in the previous school year. This year the winners are:

  • Catarina
  • Laura
  • Carolina
  • Amir-Pasha
  • John

Year 11 students are invited to apply for the second type of award, The Lighthouse Award, given to students who demonstrate significant and active contributions to school life through a particular area of passion, such as performing arts, sport or service to the community. Students will be asked to submit a document giving a brief overview of the way in which they have demonstrated:

  • A commitment to developing potential in a particular area of talent/passion.
  • A commitment to enhancing the life of others in the school/community.

Applicants will be shortlisted based on the initial submission. Shortlisted students will be invited to make a presentation to further explain their area of talent or passion and how they have enhanced school life. The awards will be made following these presentations and deliberation by a committee made up of school leaders and teachers.

Deadline for applications is 27 January 2024 - decisions will be made before the end of the Spring Term.

Winners of each award will select their prize from a menu of opportunities for summer school or internship programmes designed to cultivate extension and leadership in an area of passion.

For more information please contact Mr. Norbury or Mr. Burke and see the Scholarship Policy.
