It feels like life has been breathed into the Secondary Section with the return of almost all of our students in the last week. It’s fantastic to see so many smiling faces coming through the gates, and that’s just the teachers! Many staff are taking the opportunity to get students away from screens, to get outside and to develop practical skills that have been more difficult to embed during remote learning.

Many students have been making the most of the After School Activities, which our staff are running. These are excellent opportunities to reconnect with one another and to decompress after lockdown.

With the continued progress out of confinement, we are cautiously planning more ambitious activities, including Year 13 end of exam celebrations and graduation ceremony, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and Activity Days.

The Activity Days are being designed to use our incredible campus and local environment as a backdrop for strengthening connections within Year 7-12 tutor groups who have not spent enough time together this year, for reflecting on the resilience we have all shown in overcoming challenges in the last 12 months and for looking forward with hope for the future. Above all, we hope that these activity days will be a lot of fun.

We look forward to bringing you further details very soon.
