We still have some way to go in attaining service excellence, from improving waiting time to increasing value for money and choice and range of food. However, we would like to celebrate the overall increase by 10 percentage points in the level of satisfaction of our customers since 2019, when the previous catering survey took place.

Following the survey, we worked with our catering partner, Thomas Franks, to address many areas that required attention and add more value to our community, namely:

  • Salad bars: A selection of raw and simple salads, paired with mixed salads, have been launched in all dining rooms

  • Soft Rock and Tuk-Tuk menus relaunch: A new range of products, including Sushi, Bao Bao buns, burritos and Poke bowls, have been introduced to freshen things up.
  • Increase the area of serving to be closer to some places where students have their break: The Tuk-tuk has been relocated to the Sports Pavilion, with the same offer, which will also aid in reducing waiting times at the Soft Rock.

  • Soft Rock reduced waiting times: We have invested in the second point of sale and additional staff to speed up the service at the Soft Rock as the popularity of this venue continues to increase.
  • Vegan plant power: We have added many more vegan dishes across all venues to give more choices in this area.
