Celebrating Group Work
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” African proverb
‘Recognising the benefits of working collaboratively’ is one of the seven learning outcomes in CAS, not only does it encourage individuals to join forces and plan actions together, but also to share moments that are memorable and beneficial to them and the community.
As we bid farewell to year 13 students and their eclectic contributions to the CAS programme, the year 12 students start their final rotation through the three CAS strands of creativity, activity and service. Amidst their anticipation of trying out new experiences, there is a moment to celebrate the results of previously finished actions.
As always, the creativity group was split in two, one produced yet another impressive mural to be adorned on the walls of the English department and the other honed their songwriting skills, demonstrating their poetic and musical sensibilities with original songs.
Service also continued to reach out to the local community with inspiring and much-needed actions, such as ‘feeding the community’, ‘Gardening with Cercica’ and the local environmental ‘clean up’. We look forward to the fruits of their collective efforts.
Great teamwork Year 12!
