Primary Celebrated World Portuguese Language Day  

The Portuguese department celebrated World Portuguese Language Day on the 5th of May. Storyteller Bruno Batista visited KS1 and KS2 pupils and provided some magical mornings travelling through the world of stories. Pupils also had the opportunity to visit the book fair, organised by the Publisher Livros Horizonte, where they were able to see and buy many different titles. Throughout the week, in Portuguese classes, students learned a little more about the countries where Portuguese is the official language and heard local stories and facts. It was a busy week but a lot of fun.
