A group of year six students have been working on creating their own business called “Moggies and Mutts”. They have been working tirelessly over the past few months during lunch breaks to make chewy toys and collars for dogs and cats. All the money they raise goes to an animal shelter at the end of the month.

The animal shelter that they picked (UPPA) was founded in 2007, and since then, they have saved more than 1500 animal lives, and in just 2021, more than 140 dogs have been adopted. UPPA rescues every type of dog; it doesn’t matter if they have a disability, no dog is left behind.

Two weeks ago, these students were able to visit UPPA and donate €128 to this worthy cause.

This is an entirely independent project, and the collaborators are:

  • Constança Pinto - Co-manager
  • Sofia Rolo - Co-manager
