The Group 4 project exhibition was a great success!
The Group 4 project, 3-day challenge is a compulsory part of the IB diploma where students work in multi-disciplinary groups to create a presentation on a specific topic. (‘Group 4’ is the group of subjects including the Sciences, Design and Technology, Sport and Exercise and Health Sciences).
The first part of this year's project took the format of a carousel with students taking part in a series of exploratory challenges around the theme of flight. The challenges ranged from creating a new throwing sport using different projectiles to investigating the efficiency of different fuels.
Students were then tasked with working in collaborative groups to investigate a specific aspect of a Mission to Mars! The culmination of the 3-day process was held on the patio of the Palacio as students presented their findings to invited guests, staff and students. We will bring you more on the experiences of the students in the next Lighthouse, but for now, it is suffice to say that it was a great success!
