Just before we broke up for the summer holiday, St. Julian’s School was announced as the first COBIS Training School in Portugal and across the Iberian Peninsula. This makes us part of an exclusive group of only 20 schools from around the world that hold this accolade.

The COBIS Training School award recognises the work that we are already doing for both staff and community learning.

Not only is this award a kite mark for excellence, but it will enable us to develop a COBIS training hub, where we can share and model best practices, connect and network with other schools, and continue to provide career progression routes from initial teacher training to leadership qualifications.

Director of Professional Learning and Growth
