In our 90th year, and to celebrate the life and works of our Alumna and renowned Artist Paula Rego, we would like to announce an Art Competition for students from across the school.

St. Julian's School was founded in 1932. Over the past 90 years, thousands of students have passed through our school gates, including the renowned international artist Paula Rego who sadly passed away earlier this year. To celebrate the work of Paulo Rego and the 90th anniversary of SJS, we would like to invite students to try and capture this by producing a work of art around the theme: A moment in school life

It can be in any format but should be linked to an observation or depiction of our school.

Formats can include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, video, filmmaking, design or crafts.

There will be substantial prizes in the form of FNAC vouchers for winners. The closing date for entries is January 2nd 2023, and they should be submitted to tutors in the first place.

KS4 (and 9º ano) and KS5 €100 x 1

KS3 (Y7 to Y9 / 6º to 8º ano) €70 x 1

Primary (all sections) €50 x 1

Please note Paula Rego's family is proudly supporting the school in this celebration of the artist's life, so students have the opportunity to create unforgettable artwork.
