St Julian’s School played CAISL in our third match this season and recorded our third win! Sadly we found out just before the game we were missing a number of players through sickness.

Despite that, the girls who played did an excellent job! CAISL scored first against the run of play, but the team again showed great fighting spirit to go on to win 5-2! A really good result against a strong CAISL side.

As far as player of the match for me, everyone who played was Outstanding!

I would like to mention two people in particular, though. Firstly our goalkeeper Laura Pacheco. It is fair to say Laura was a little reluctant to play in goal in the first match when I asked her, but she got on with it without any fuss. She has been outstanding. She has been a large part of the success of the team. Has great potential! Well done Laura.

Second, Georgie Wardrope. Georgie was going to be our goalkeeper, but along came Laura. Georgie asked if she could play as a striker. We gave her the chance, and she is our most improved player over the three matches. Well done Georgie.

I am really proud of all the girls, and they should be proud of what they have achieved. They have become a team in a few weeks, and everyone has made great leaps forward. It's a real pleasure to coach them - most of the time!

I would like to thank Coaches João and Ozaze for their great help and refereeing. Also, to the parents for your support at the matches.
