The GCSE Enterprise Christmas Fair Was a Huge Success
The GCSE Enterprise course has been introduced to expose our young entrepreneurs to the real world of business. The Enterprise course requires students to set up and run their own enterprises, but many of them very quickly realised they needed start-up capital to fund their creative enterprise ideas. The Enterprise Christmas Fair was created to meet this need as well as provide students with an opportunity to be truly entrepreneurial. The students were fully responsible for setting up the fair and even created a specialist marketing team to advertise the event to students and parents alike. The event was fantastic and surpassed everyone's expectations, and it has certainly set the standard for future fundraising events. This is my third year at St Julian's and I love working here, but the Enterprise Christmas Fair certainly stands out for me as one of my personal teaching highlights. Congratulations to all the Y10 Entrepreneurs!

“The Christmas market was an exhilarating experience for both parents and students. It was an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and support each other, and also get an experience to work and benefit from this work. The fair enabled students further to practice business skills in preparation for our official enterprises and work in different teams, which allowed us to know our classmates better. I hope future Year 10s will enjoy this experience as much as we did!'
