CAS Team Creates Monumental SJS Lip Dub
In the IB programme, CAS stands for Creativity, Activity, and Service. It is a fundamental requirement of the Diploma Programme, which encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. Through CAS, students are encouraged to acquire skills, including time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication. In addition, it encourages students to pursue their passions and interests and build a feeling of self-awareness and personal responsibility.
We wanted to recreate the old Lip dub video, which was made a decade ago. We chose this specific project because we wanted to promote the new and updated St Julians and make it more modern and up-to-date. It will focus on the global goal of good health and well-being as it portrays our school's happy and welcoming environment.
Our project consisted of filming many sections of our school while celebrating St. Julian's 90th Anniversary and our core school's values - the 6Cs. The aim of our project was also to engage the whole school and to create a welcoming video for StJulian's future students. Overall it was an amazing experience as there were so many learning opportunities for which we are all really thankful. [You can access the video on The Week Ahead No 47].
