It was wonderful to resume our Chamber Music Concert series the week before half-term.  Around 50 students from years 7 to 12 filled the Main Hall with a programme of music by soloists and small ensembles, as well as our accomplished String Orchestra.  As in previous years, the standard was outstanding, and our students showed excellent musicianship, concert discipline, and respect for their peers as they enjoyed each other's work.

Various styles of music were represented, ranging from Renaissance songs and recorder pieces to the present day, with the concert opening with a composition by two students, Aaron and Joshua Nasser.  Pieces were played from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods as well as some more modern Latin and French styles with instrumental solos, duets and brass, string, wind and vocal groups.  Variety was definitely a part of this event.

Congratulations to our courageous and accomplished young musicians!
