During Secondary Science Week, our students had the opportunity for some individual exploration in their lessons. Students were encouraged to think about the science areas that interest them that are outside our curriculum.

Students then presented their findings to the class. We had students looking at sleep and mental health, if dinosaurs could really be brought back to life, forces involved in Formula one and even how lightning is made.

In our science lunchtime activities, students made ice cream in 5 mins using super cooling and kinetic energy, and they made giant bubbles. This was led by our fantastic science technicians, Nadia and Cristina.

Students also were given many ideas to explore science using live lectures, live lessons by universities and a fantastic display of books in our school library. Students have engaged really well and had a great week, showing their growing love for the sciences.
