Y4 Visit the Lisbon Story Centre
Our Year 4 students travelled to Praça do Comércio and visited the Lisbon Story Centre to discover the role of Lisbon throughout history. They heard information about the main events in Lisbon from the past to the present, including the famous Lisbon Earthquake on 1st November 1755.
The Year 4 students were there to learn more about Lisbon in the Age of Discoveries when it became a global trading centre. They walked through a ship full of the smells, sounds and textures that the explorers would have experienced on their voyages. After the tour was completed, the children were able to enjoy their lunch in Terreiro do Paço, enjoying the beautiful sunshine! They finished the trip with a walk along the Tejo River to Ribeira das Naus to see where the old ships were built.
