Adam Cichecki, a student of the St. Julian’s chess club student, loves to play chess and learn more about this game. Adam plays in a lot of federated chess tournaments on a national and international level and has had remarkable results. Since the beginning of the year, he has increased 153 rapid rating points and is one of the most promising chess talents. Between the many chess tournaments that he played, we highlight two tournaments: III Individual School Tournament, organised by the Lisbon Chess Association and the U10 Blitz National Championship, organised by the Portuguese Chess Federation.

In the III Individual School Tournament, a tournament in Lisbon with 96 participants from 19 different schools in the district of Lisbon, he finished in clear 1st place in the U10 category (under 10 years old), with a perfect score of 6 points in 6 games, by winning all of his games convincingly.

On the 11th of March, Adam finished 1st place in the U10 Blitz National Championship, with an outstanding 8,5 points out of 9 games, winning 8 games and drawing one game.
