Historian Mário Eurico Lisboa visited St. Julian’s and gave a historical tour of the school, providing CB students with interesting historical knowledge about St. Julian’s and what it was used for throughout the years.

Mário Eurico Lisboa visited the school in the morning and shared the complex history of the school with the students, explaining its role as a farm back in the 18th century. The main hall was used as a wine cellar, and a vast vineyard was across the whole area. The main gate was an entrance for carriages, animals and other goods to enter the farm. Later on, the building became the property of the British Eastern Telegraph Company, which had installed and maintained a system of submarine cables that helped to transform global communication.

Most students found this guided tour very interesting, as they had the opportunity to learn about their everyday surroundings in a non-traditional way.
