Mr Morgan, Dr Shah and Mr Norbury were in attendance as the International Baccalaureate (IB) hosted its third IB Global and Heads World Conferences concurrently in Dublin, Ireland, from 5 to 8 October 2023 for over 1,700 participants from 101 countries. The conference's theme, “Education for an Inclusive Future,” centred on the evolving educational landscape. The conference included an extensive line-up of inspirational speakers on the topics of technology and innovation, inclusive education and wellbeing, lifelong learning and leadership. It was very pleasing that many of the themes being explored at this conference are firmly on St. Julian’s agenda and already part of our Strategic Plan - this can give us confidence in our direction as a school proud of its heritage but also innovating for the future.

The IB’s Director General, Olli-Pekka Heinonen, even channelled St. Julian’s Reason to Believe in his opening remarks as he addressed attendees, saying, “As a global community, it is so important that we are all involved in these conversations. Not just around diversity, equity and inclusion. But also, in seeking answers to the questions raised by the use of new technologies and, of course, the importance of sustainability and how all of this can contribute to brighter futures.”

St. Julian’s will continue to strive to be at the forefront of education so that we can adapt to the changing world and continue to provide the very best opportunities for our young people to become the citizens the world needs.
