This week we were proud to recognise Black History Month with a week of special events, lectures, workshops and performances. Years 3-13 took part in dance workshops, Year 9 planned and taught some fabulous lessons on the Benin Empire to Years 4-6, and our Primary students learned about significant Black individuals throughout the week. We were also treated to insightful and thought-provoking guest lectures from Dr Cristina Roldão and Joana Gorjão Henriques.

To top off a fantastic week, we were delighted by a surprise musical performance on Friday morning and afternoon featuring classics by the likes of Skip James and Nina Simone.

We want to thank our amazing guests and teachers who contributed to this programme and supported us as we strive to ensure all members of our community are recognised and celebrated. We’d also like to thank our amazing students, who showed tremendous enthusiasm throughout the week.
