9º ano went on a school trip to London which was an unforgettable experience.

Our first destination was the British Museum where we saw archaeological artefacts from different periods in history. The Egyptian galleries are among the most famous. We saw examples of monumental sculptures from temples and many other statues and pharaohs.

The next day we went to the Natural History Museum where we saw lots of embalmed animals. We also went to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, where we took photos with the celebrities we knew and look up too. We learned that Madame Tussaud sometimes used real human hair for the celebrities and also maintained specific temperature levels to preserve the wax figures. Later that day we went to see the Lion King musical at the Lyceum Theatre. The animals on stage and the vibrant colours brought the animal kingdom to life. On the last day, we visited Hampton Court Palace.

Overall the trip was amazing and I particularly liked The Shard, which is a skyscraper that has an amazing view from the top and the sensation of going up in the elevator is different from all the others. I really liked it because I appreciate looking at the view and taking photos. One of the places I liked the most was Westfield shopping centre because I love to go shopping. This shopping centre was huge and had loads of luxurious shops. I think the trip greatly contributed to the positive relationships between the students. The teachers also did a great job of keeping the class together and making sure everybody had a good time.
