In this presentation prepared by the Primary Wider Leadership Team, parents of children in Years 1-6 will receive valuable guidance on understanding their child's Primary report. This session aims to clarify the report's structure and contents, enabling parents to monitor their child's academic progress effectively.

Key Highlights of the Presentation:

Report Accessibility: The presentation will detail how parents can access their child's reports via the parent portal.

Report Timeline and Structure: Parents will learn about the three crucial reports issued annually - each offering specific insights into their child's academic and developmental progress.

Understanding Engagement for Learning and Attainment Grades: The session will delve into the 'Engagement for Learning' grade, a crucial indicator of a child's participation in class, based on the Shaper Profile and key learning hallmarks. It will also explain the attainment levels from Emerging to Mastering, setting realistic expectations for each reporting period.

Portuguese Language Reports: Part of the presentation will focus on assessing Portuguese language skills, differentiating between native speakers and learners of Portuguese as a foreign language.

We look forward to continuing to bridge the gap between home and school, ensuring parents are more involved and informed about their child's educational path. Should parents have any questions regarding their child’s report, they will have the opportunity to address these during the upcoming online parent meetings.
