I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream
Our Year 2 students embarked on a walk around Carcavelos, eager to explore its local geographical features as part of their thematic study "Where in the world?" and enhance their map skills - an essential aspect of the Year 2 Geography syllabus.
With Santini as their ultimate destination, the children enthusiastically undertook the task of charting a course on the map identifying landmarks along the way.
Throughout the journey, the students spotted various landmarks such as the original Quinta gate posts, trains and the adjacent station, educational institutions, shops, a church, and a lively park. However, the pinnacle of their adventure was undoubtedly arriving at Santini's, where each child selected and enjoyed an ice cream of their preference, leading to gleeful smiles and sticky fingers all around. Yet, the messiness failed to dampen their spirits, culminating in an afternoon filled with joy and discovery.
