CAS IB Students coach Division 4 Boys in charity match

The demand for football from both girls and boys in this age group is huge. The boys involved in Thursday night training are nearly 60! - We have had friendlies against other schools, winning matches against OIS and CAISL convincingly.
There is, however, an essential fixture for Division 4 Boys, as they played against CCC/Ukraine Project on Saturday. This match was part of the IB CAS programme, where a group of IB students worked with me to provide coaching for children from the Carcavelos community and Ukrainian and Afghan refugees.
We selected many of our younger players in this division for the match. They were up against an older and bigger team (see the picture!) who had some talented players. Our boys played with great determination and teamwork and managed to contain the opposition in the first half. In the second half, they kept going but added some great skill into the mix and eventually won 3-2!
That is a fantastic result, and well done to every player. Really proud of you!
Also, well done to the IB student team for their part in this programme.
