Year 5 explore the Lisbon Planetarium
Our Year 5 visited the Lisbon Planetarium to introduce students to the wonders of the universe, focusing on the planets within our solar system and the constellations visible from Earth.
The visit commenced with a presentation that transported us through the cosmos, providing a comprehensive overview of the planets orbiting our sun and the constellations that are visible from planet Earth. Students were enthralled as they witnessed the diverse landscapes and unique features of each celestial body, from the fiery surface of Venus to the majestic rings of Saturn.
The immersive visual and audio content provided a stimulating and informative learning environment. Students were able to absorb a wealth of knowledge about space and astronomy, laying a solid foundation for our upcoming space-themed topic.
This trip served as an excellent launchpad for our exploration of the universe. It sparked curiosity and excitement among students, setting the stage for further discovery and inquiry in the classroom.
