This is always an exciting time for the younger students as they decorate their classrooms for Christmas, make presents and cards for their families and write their letters to Santa.

The children in Nursery and Reception have been very busy getting ready for Christmas.
They have been using many skills such as painting, cutting, glueing, wrapping, writing, to prepare for Christmas.  They have listened to stories, learnt new songs, talked about what they hope Father Christmas will bring them.   Class discussions have been about why do we celebrate Christmas, what do people do at this time and what similarities there are to celebrating other festivals, like Diwali. They have also begun to think about the meaning of Christmas, about family time, about how it is a time to give as well as receive, and how it is a time to think of others and share what we have.

The Primary staff and students take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
