An exciting Interhouse Cross Country event was enjoyed by students and staff in their year group bubbles this year!

With the background of social distancing and COVID, St. Julians School managed to stage its Inter-House Cross Country competition throughout the week 31st January & 4th February. The staff and students have really missed having our fantastic Cross Country meet over the last two years with supporters cheering on the students’ efforts. We are sure you all remember your Cross Country days from school – love it or hate it – you still had to run!! All the students have put in an amazing effort this week and we are so proud of them.

Everyone ran for their house in the last PE lesson to mark the end of our four-week Health and Fitness unit. All students contributed to the end result, so every run added to the success of their House. There were some fantastic individual runs as you can see in the results below, with lots of personal best records being set. It was a great week of running with a buzz and enthusiasm from start to finish. Tremendous effort was demonstrated by all the runners, and House spirit was clear to see. The results never reflect the efforts of those who give more than they can finish in the middle and receive little praise for their efforts. Therefore we also cheer on those who did just that. A sincere thank you to all those who helped make it such an enjoyable way to finish the unit.

Head of PE
