Two talented Y10 students joined the KS1 assembly to help Primary students celebrate International Women’s Day.

Primary was delighted to welcome Year 10 students Sophie and Catarina to an assembly which focused on inspirational and talented women and girls throughout history and the present day. When thinking of inspirational young women, where better to look for inspiration than to our very own St. Julian’s students?

Sophie told us all about her horse-riding accomplishments and even delighted the Y1 and Y2 students by coming dressed in her horse-riding gear. She showed us the first-ever rosette that she had won as a 5-year-old competitor. Next, Catarina wowed the audience with her violin, performing a piece that she had also prepared for the Unplugged concert.

The KS1 students left the assembly reflecting on the importance of recognising the talents and contributions of women in our world and imagining the difference they might make one day.
