DT Students Focus on Sustainability!
Sustainability has been DT’s focus this year, and students need your support by collecting and sending plastic bottles and tops to the school.
We are excited to share with you our two new machines that will help our department and the school community take a more sustainable approach to plastic waste.
The shredding machine will enable us to shred and recycle plastic bottle tops and plastic offcuts. The sheet press will form new sheets of plastic material which we can use to develop new products such as this phone stand.
We need the help of the school community by collecting your waste bottle tops and giving them to use to recycle. We would appreciate it if the tops could be washed first. A collection bin will be inside the DT department, the soft rock cafe and the west gate. Thank you for your support.
