This year's thrilling House Olympics competition event took place under the radiant sun after a week of rain, setting the stage for an unforgettable day of friendly competition and camaraderie.

The four Houses - Franklin, Bucknall, Russell, and Etherington-Smith assembled their teams with students from year 7 to 9 and 5º to 9º. A total of 32 teams were formed, mixed by sex and different year groups, which fostered a wonderful spirit of collaboration and unity among our students.

The day was filled with a wide variety of activities, ensuring that every student had a chance to showcase their skills and teamwork. The activities included:

Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Creative Art, Penalty Shootout, Archery and Spike Ball. The 6 Cs - A Focus on Character: Throughout the day, students were awarded points not only for winning their matches but also for embodying the "6 Cs" - character traits that St. Julian's School values.

What made this event truly special was seeing students from different year groups coming together to work towards a common goal and helping one another. It was heartwarming to witness the bonds forming as students got to make friends with peers from various year groups, enriching their school experience.

Final Results

  • Franklin: 169 points
  • Etherington-Smith: 193 points
  • Russell: 200 points
  • Bucknall: 206 points

A big congratulations to Bucknall for clinching the top spot! Each house contributed significantly to the success of this event. Every student should be proud of their efforts, as the spirit of unity and camaraderie was the true winner.

We would like to thank all the students, teachers, and staff who made this day possible, creating a positive experience for everyone involved. The House Olympics truly exemplifies the St. Julian's School spirit and demonstrates the strength of our community.
